Assemble with Care
A story in 12 objects
When Maria, a globe-trotting antique restorer, arrives in the sun-soaked town of Bellariva, she has no idea just how broken it will turn out to be. She wants nothing more than to help the town’s inhabitants save their most beloved possessions, but when it’s their personal lives that are starting to fracture, she’ll need to find a way to hold them together, one spare screw at a time.
I worked on this game at ustwo games as one of five programmers, and was responsible for gameplay mechanics, specific level interactions for the gameboy and record player levels and the UI system and interactions.
I spent most of my time working closely together with Thomas Williams, who was the sound designer of the team, and Matthew Newcombe, my tech lead.
One thing I am most proud of is bringing the chapter selection screen to life by bringing in the 3D objects and letting them animate while swiping through the chapters.
